The defendant (insured by Allstate) made a $500 offer to settle the case before trial, claiming the plaintiff was not injured in the collision. The jury was convinced by Mr. Short’s arguments and examination of the witnesses and awarded the plaintiff nearly $30,000. Allstate decided not to appeal.
