Keith Short and Associates, P.C. was formed in the early part of 2011 by experienced attorney Keith Short – an attorney who began practicing law in 1992. The law firm was founded on the basis of using Mr. Short’s experience to help injured people with workers’ compensation, personal injury and Social Security cases, cases in which our firm has an impressive record of success.

Strong Representation from a former defense lawyer

Prior to forming this law firm, Mr. Short handled workers’ compensation defense and personal injury defense. Due to this background is critical to the work we currently do. We know how our opponents operate in these cases, because we have been on that side.

More importantly, we know exactly who our opponents are. We know them, and they know us. They know that we are a honest, hardworking law firm and when we give them a dollar figure, it will be well researched and accurate. Attorney Keith Short is a Southern Illinois attorney who was actually born and raised in Southern Illinois. Therefore, we know details that attorneys from the northern part of the state may not understand, from the types of injuries that are suffered in refineries and other workplaces that are common in the area, to how the condition of the roads may play a role in car and truck accident cases. We know where all the hospitals and courts are, the type of people who serve on juries when we have to go to trial, and how to present cases to them.

Mr. Short has even served as aldermen in Edwardsville, IL. He has won important community awards, such as the Friend of Labor Award.
