The Alton Youth Symphony, a not-for-profit music organization, has been providing learning and performing experiences for young music students in the riverbend area since 1969. The very talented young students consist of approximately ninety 5th through 8th graders. AYS provides students with the opportunity to play in a full symphony orchestra setting as well as the opportunity to play in a more advanced setting in the Chamber Group.The law firm’s donation will help facilitate private study grants as well as contribute to a scholarship to the Illinois Summer Youth Music Camp at the University of Illinois-Urbana where students spend a week long session expanding their musical abilities.
