If you’re hurt at work you MUST do this: / Si usted está herido en el trabajo debe hacer esto:
Tell your boss about the injury and tell at least one co-worker. It doesn’t matter if you are going to file a claim or not. Just inform them and fill out an incident report. If you don’t file a work comp claim then your boss will be happy and think highly of you for working through it. But, if you are hurt and decide you need medical treatment then you will have proved that you were, in fact, hurt on the job and did report it within 45 days as required by law! So, there really is no down side to reporting the injury. Failing to report it might mean that your injury is not covered by work comp and you might be stuck with medical bills and no income until you can get back to work. Simply put, failing to report your injury hurts only you.
