Illinois/Missouri Amend Workers’ Compensation Acts to allow Covid-19 exposed employees to file claims

Both Illinois and Missouri have made remarkable amendments to each states’ respective Workers’ Compensation Acts allowing employees to file for workers’ compensation benefits should they develop COVID-19. The law presumes essential workers who test positive, and need medical care, were exposed through work. If you or someone you know tests positive for COVID-19 and requires medical care and are in one of the groups covered under the amendment (first responders, nurses, doctors, health care aides, nursing home aides,  police officers, fire fighters, food service/restaurant workers, grocery store employees, etc.)  then call us for representation.  Keith Short and Associates at 618-254-0055 for additional information.  For more information, read below.
